The Google Workspace status dashboard confirms the ongoing disruption, stating that users are experiencing both "misclassification of emails in their inbox and additional spam warnings." This means that emails typically sorted into categories like Promotions, Social, or Updates are now appearing in the Primary inbox, while familiar senders are triggering spam alerts.

Social media is buzzing with complaints from frustrated users. Many are reporting a complete breakdown of Gmail’s filtering system, with one user lamenting that "all the spam is going directly to my inbox." Others have described Gmail’s filters as "suddenly completely busted," highlighting the severity of the issue.
