Hustler Words – OpenAI’s ambitious expansion continues with the announcement of five new, massive AI data centers across the US. Partnering with tech giants Oracle and SoftBank, this undertaking, codenamed "Stargate," will significantly boost OpenAI’s computational capabilities. The project brings the total planned capacity of Stargate to a staggering seven gigawatts – enough electricity to power over five million homes.
Three of these colossal facilities are being developed in collaboration with Oracle, strategically located in Shackelford County, Texas; Doña Ana County, New Mexico; and a currently undisclosed Midwest location. SoftBank is contributing to the expansion with two additional data centers, one in Lordstown, Ohio, and another in Milam County, Texas.

This aggressive infrastructure buildout underscores OpenAI’s commitment to training and deploying increasingly powerful AI models. The news follows Monday’s announcement of a monumental $100 billion investment from Nvidia, securing a vast supply of cutting-edge AI processors to fuel these data centers. This strategic alliance between OpenAI, Oracle, SoftBank, and Nvidia signals a significant leap forward in the race to dominate the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence. The sheer scale of this project positions OpenAI as a dominant force in the future of AI, promising unprecedented advancements in the field.
