Hustler Words – Meta’s Connect conference unveiled Hyperscape, a groundbreaking technology allowing users to transform their real-world spaces into stunningly realistic virtual environments. Initially showcased at last year’s event, Hyperscape Capture is now entering Early Access, enabling Quest 3 and Quest 3S owners (18+) to scan their rooms and generate photorealistic VR replicas. The scanning process is quick, taking only minutes, although rendering the digital space requires a few hours.
While initial access restricts users to private viewing via a unique link, future updates will enable shared experiences. Meta has already demonstrated Hyperscape’s capabilities by creating immersive VR versions of notable locations, including Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen, Chance the Rapper’s shoe collection, and the UFC Apex Octagon.
This technology leverages Gaussian Splatting, cloud rendering, and streaming to deliver high-fidelity virtual worlds directly to the Meta Quest headset. The rollout will be phased, beginning immediately, but not all users will have access simultaneously.

Beyond Hyperscape, Meta announced a wave of metaverse updates. This includes a diverse lineup of fall VR games featuring titles like Marvel’s Deadpool VR, ILM’s Star Wars: Beyond Victory, and Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked. Horizon TV, Meta’s streaming app, will expand its content library to include Disney+, ESPN, and Hulu. A collaboration with Universal Pictures and Blumhouse will bring immersive horror films like "M3GAN" and "The Black Phone" to the platform, alongside a limited-time 3D clip from "Avatar: Fire and Ash." These additions significantly enhance the metaverse’s entertainment offerings, solidifying Meta’s commitment to building a compelling and diverse virtual world.
